Jaime Pressly is a great American actress currently starring in I Hate my Teenage Daughter. Before this, Jaime Pressly was the star of My Name is Earl, another American sitcom. My Name is Earl is a comedy series created by Greg Garcia and broadcast on NBC since 2005 to 2009. The show, starring Jason Lee, Ethan Suplee, Jaime Pressly, Eddie Steeples and Nadine Velazquez was produced by Century Fox Television. The show presents the story of Earl, a criminal who decides to change his life, so, the karma rewards him with a 100.000 dollars lottery ticket. Jaime Pressly has the part of Joy Farrah Darville Hickey Turner, the first wife of Earl, whom divorced her. The character of Jaime Pressly is now married to Darnell. She is the antagonist of My Name is Earl.

Jaime Pressly plays an unsophisticated and manipulative woman. She is considered “trailer-trash” because she is aggressive and self-centered. She convinced Earl to marry her because she was pregnant. At first, it seems that the baby is not Earl’s, but in the end, the viewers found out that it is actually his. While she was married to him, she cheated with Darnell, whom she eventually married. Even if the character Jaime Pressly has is a not so attractive and pleasant woman, she is very protective of her family. Joy is the mother of two boys – Dodge and Earl Jr. She drives a Subaru BRAT and she has some phrases she usually uses, like “Oh, snap!”, “What the Hell?!” and “Dummny”.

In the later episodes of My Name is Earl, the character of Jaime Pressly has another pregnancy, but this is not her baby. She agrees to be a surrogate for her half-sister, as she could not carry a baby. All through the show, Joy does not know the exact identity of the fathers of her two children. In the last episode is revealed that Earl is the father of Dodge, but the identity of the father of Earl Jr. remains a mystery. Although she played a weird and annoying woman, Jaime Pressly acted great on this show.
